2016 Service Award
The PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women thanks
Catherine Rankin of Summerside has served on the PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women since 2011 and as Vice-Chairperson since 2015.
Catherine is a person of great common sense and great humour, always eager to share a story and a laugh. Catherine has a talent for using stories to find and name better ways forward for women and girls. Catherine’s experience in business and leadership have added a great deal to Advisory Council discussions. She has always been at the ready to assist in the Council’s work, as a wonderful support to staff members and to the Chairpersons she worked alongside. Catherine’s obvious love for Prince Edward Island fuels her passion to make this province a better place for all its citizens.
Thank you, Catherine, for your well-grounded and exuberant leadership in helping the Advisory Council advance the status of women in PEI.
Council and staff were very pleased to welcome Debbie Langston as the newest member appointed to Council. She brings her workplace experience as a Family Support Worker with the Mi’kmaq Confederacy of PEI, and is sure to contribute significantly to the work of the ACSW.
