Sisters in Spirit Vigil – October 4, 2013

Today, we had the honour of attending one of 200 Sisters in Spirit Vigils taking place across Canada to remember missing and murdered Aboriginal women. The Native Women’s Association has documented almost 600 women’s stories. All of them were loved, all of them are missed or mourned by families, friends, and communities. This afternoon, we’re writing to Prime Minister Harper to join the call for a national inquiry into missing and murdered Aboriginal women.

The photo below is of Chairperson Diane with Judy Clark, President of the Aboriginal Women’s Association of PEI at today’s vigil, with gratitude for their work.
