The Stand with Us display was coordinated by the Advisory Council on the Status of Women, and it travelled to several Island communities during Family Violence Prevention Week. 4. I love Lydia: Mother as Early Childhood Teacher
The PEI Literacy Alliance presents: Visiting Fulbright Scholar, DR. LEIGH O’BRIEN
Dr. Leigh O’Brien will present a 30-minute talk about her life as the mother of a daughter with identified disabilities. She will share what she has learned about inclusion in education. Her daughter Lydia, age 18, will speak briefly about her own journey through the education system, both the challenges and successes. There will be time for comments, questions, and related stories from the audience.
Dr Leigh O’Brien is a recognized scholar in the field of inclusive education in the early childhood. She has an extensive publishing record, numerous expert consultations and speaking invitations to her credit.
