Be on a Poster to Raise Awareness of and to Prevent Violence against Women and Children
The 8.5″ X 11″ posters will be displayed at events during Family Violence Prevention Week and on the Advisory Council on the Status of Women’s blog.
As part of the 2011/2012 Purple Ribbon Campaign Against Violence, the PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women is creating posters featuring Islanders pledging their commitment to help end violence against women and children. Anyone can participate.
The 8.5” X 11” posters will be featured on the Status of Women blog during Family Violence Prevention Week in February and displayed at events during that week. Each will say: “I stand with you to end violence against women and children.”
To participate, send a head and shoulders or upper body photo to email@example.com. Digital images should be in high quality format. We need to know your name, occupation, and where you live. Multiple people in one shot is allowed. If you wish to send a hard copy photo, please call Kelly at 368-4017.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, February 7th, 2012.
NOTE: Anyone, not just men, can submit a photo to the campaign this year.
