3.    2011 Youth Action Gathering

The Youth Action Gathering (YAG) is a 4-day long summer camp to build youth awareness, and community and leadership skills for environmental and social justice. YAGs provide powerful training opportunities for students who would like to see their peers and schools foster a culture of sustainability.

YAGs aim to inform, activate and empower youth to undertake projects leading to ecological and social well-being in their communities.

We do this by:
* Talking about the issues
* Building the necessary skills for taking action
* Creating a youth-positive space
* Making music, playing games and hanging out

Who? 13 to 18 year olds that want to explore issues affecting the world today and learn tools to help build healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities.

When? August 11-14 2011, 4 days and 3 nights

Where? Harold T. Barrett Fun Forest Camp, Beaverbank, Nova Scotia (30 minutes North of Halifax)

How much? $50 or pay what you can, bursaries available

 Rassemblement Jeunesse en Action (RJA) 2011

Le RJA est un camp d’été de 4 jours qui sert à vous en apprendre d’avantage au sujet de la durabilité en plus de développer vos compétences en leadership communautaire.  Le RJA vous offrira un stage parfait si vous chercher aider votre école et vos amis à développer un style de vie plus durable.

Qui? Les ados de 13 à 18 ans cherchant à explorer les réalités qui ont un impact sur le monde et développer des outils vous permettant de jouer un rôle positif dans le développement d’une communauté plus durable, en santé et équitable.

La Coalition jeunesse Sierra

La Coalition jeunesse Sierra est une organisation dirigée par et pour les jeunes, et qui sert de branche jeunesse au Sierra Club du Canada depuis 1996.

Notre mission est d’impliquer les Canadiens et Canadiennes agés de 14 à 30 ans, afin d’en faire des piliers dans la lutte pour développer un Canada écologiquement et socialement durable. Pour y arriver, nous introduisons les jeunes aux grands enjeux que sont l’écologie et la justice sociale; nous mettons en place des projets environnementaux ayant des répercussions concrètes; et nous parlons au nom de la nouvelle génération de Canadiens voulant hériter d’un monde qui vaut la peine d’hériter: un monde où la justice sociale et la durabilité écologique sont au centre des priorités de notre société.

2.    23rd Summer Bioenergetic Retreat in South Rustico, PEI

July 3-10

This summer retreat offers you a unique opportunity for therapeutic, spiritual, and interpersonal growth.    The week includes daily bioenergetic exercise and group process, as well as Tai Chi, individual therapy, massage, spirituality, meditation, Eden Energy Medicine, writing, dance and lots of fun.

Leaders  are  certified bioenergetic therapists Bethany Doyle CCC and Rosalind McVicar CCC,
Our professional support staff includes Joan Doyle, Julia Sauve, Kesley MacEachern, and Margaret Mulcahey .

The setting is Belcourt Retreat Center, a beautiful place near sandy beaches
