1. Vanier Institute of the Family Seeking new Executive Director

The Vanier Institute of the Family is seeking a seasoned leader who is capable of guiding the highly-respected organization that is Canada’s leading voice on family issues.

The Executive Director will be someone who has solid credentials in the academic, government, or NGO sector, where they have demonstrated a strong commitment to Canada’s families.

Based in Ottawa, the Executive Director understands the current trends and policy issues central to the well-being of Canada’s 8.9 million families and has the proven experience necessary to provide leadership in the intellectual, managerial and fundraising activities that will grow the Institute’s reputation for quality research, and its national profile as a balanced commentator on family issues.

Experienced in dealing with all forms of media, the Executive Director will have the capacity to tell the stories of Canada’s families by communicating the work of the Institute, preferably in both official languages, to its diverse constituencies.

L’Institut Vanier de la famille est à la recherche d’un leader chevronné capable d’assurer la direction de cet organisme hautement respecté et reconnu tant pour son expertise en matière familiale que pour sa connaissance de la réalité des familles canadiennes. Le candidat possède une solide expérience dans le domaine universitaire, gouvernemental ou non gouvernemental et a démontré son adhésion à la cause des familles canadiennes.

En service à Ottawa, le directeur exécutif comprend les tendances actuelles et les questions stratégiques essentielles au bien-être des 8,9 millions de familles canadiennes. Il possède l’expérience nécessaire pour assurer la direction de l’Institut sur les plans de la recherche, de la gestion et du financement, de manière à accroître son rayonnement national par la qualité de ses recherches et le caractère nuancé de ses positions en matière familiale.
