For the fourth year in a row, the Native Council of Prince Edward Island is hosting “Freezing for Warmth” from November 25 to 26. NCPEI invites the general public to join us in our quest to create awareness and understanding to combat homelessness and violence against women on PEI in support of Grandmother’s House, the only women’s homeless shelter in Charlottetown. Pack your pillow and sleeping bag and come down to the corner of University and Fitzroy Avenue as we spend 24 hours on the streets “so others don’t have to.”
