"Fair Trade sports balls (soccer, football, basketball, rugby, volleyball, and more) are a tangible proof point to educate US consumers on the benefits of Fair Trade and the fight against child labor, with all after-tax profits go to charity.

Fair Trade Sports joined the battle against Child Labor by only selling products made by adult stitchers who are paid a third-party certified living wage, certified by the Fair Trade Labeling Organization International, for their work.

Fair Trade Sports has also joined the battle against Child Labor with their practices.
Fair Trade Sports RESPECT® sports balls are certified for quality by several third party agencies, including NFHS, FIFA, and SA8000. With the capacity to produce 4MM sports balls annually, you can be assured that the adults who hand- stitch these quality balls are paid a certified living wage and ensured healthy working conditions. "

Hello Rev. Scott!

I am wondering if there is any relation...as i am researching geneology.

My mother's family of MacIsaacs, MacDonald's, Murphy's, Phalen's, and probably more are said to be from PEI, Nova Scotia and maybe Halifax.

I have seen Ashley and David MacIsaac LIVE as musicians and see an uncanny resemblance. There is also a cousin David "Lenny" MacIsaac who lives in Mississippi, USA as a Baptist Minister.

We are a very Spiritually Religious Family on both sides.

Anyway, here is some more specific information:

My Mother: Eleanor Marie MacIsaac dob: June 10, 1930 in Lynn MA - USA [married my father: Michael S. Pascucelli July 27, 1957 in Connecticut, USA].
Her Mother: Alice Murphy married Matthew MacIsaac - both are from Canada...Matthew born in Souris, PEI Sept. 22, 1880 died: Aug. 10, 1947 in Long Beach, LA California USA.
Btw, Alice Murphy MacIsaac later married to: Charles Ryder, fyi.
There are many talented Musicians, singers, dancers, medical professionals, and like i said those involved in their churches in our family. Unfortunately, there are a few who are also good folks, but tend to tip the bottle and/or smoke the cancer sticks as well! My mother and her 3 sisters all died due to cig. smoking related diseases. I have also heard that Matthew MacIsaac had issues with the drinking but was a fun loving man who was an electrician for a living and then later moved on to California after my grandmother sadly divorced him due to his alcoholism.

There are many relatives to name here, but if any of this strikes a 'bell'...please feel free to email me at: pauleacastori@gmail.com

Thank you for your time here!

Sincerely,

Lea Castori [eldest daughter of Eleanor Marie MacIsaac Pascucelli].

You oppose income splitting and state "income splitting mostly benefits the partner with the higher income". You are making the assumption that even under tax rules that would allow income splitting the low- and high-earners would keep their income and their tax liabilities to themselves. You are mixing paradigms. Frame your thinking within the paradigm of sharing spouses -- ones who follow a lifestyle of informal or formal sharing of all income and the benefits from it. Many marriages are structured that way, and many more might become so, often to the benefit of the low-earner, if income splitting became a tax option. Fears of high earners failing to share income and tax liabilities after taking advantave of income splitting can be answered by checks and balances in the tax rules, for example the requirement for a signed agreement by both spouses, as is done now when seniors want to split pension income under the new pension splitting rules. Remember that income splitting on taxes would not be mandatory -- spouses who would not want to do it can veto it for the couple (a very good card for the low-earner to hold). The signed agreement could also allay the fears of a low-earner who is considering more engagement in the paid workforce, because it could bring the high-earner to share the increased income tax liability. As in pension splitting, the agreement would have to be re-made and signed each year, thus keeping the high-earner committed in the practical sense as well as the legal. As for marriage breakup, this special case can also be covered by tax rules -- like ones that allow the low earner to claim non-liability for their spouse's tax. Ultimately this all boils down to freedom of marriage lifestyle choice for a couple, especially the childbearing one.
